You’re invited to Sydney Screen Studies Network’s first ever virtual seminar!

On Thursday, 16 April 2020, SSSN will be running a virtual seminar on Zoom, from 5:30pm –7pm (AEST).

We are looking for people to present a five minute paper on any topic they are currently researching. Speakers will be able to send images, files and/or links to clips to help foster conversation, as well as receive some feedback on what they are currently exploring.

This is an informal event – a chance to simply share an idea you have been working on, and to help members of our SSSN community stay connected during these challenging and uncertain times (via screens, no less!).

You can join us in one of 2 ways:

1. As a presenter
– Fill in this form by Sunday, 12 April 2020 to register your interest to present during the seminar, and we’ll be in touch.
– You will be asked to provide a working title for your paper, a brief description on what you would like to talk about, and a short biography.

2. As a viewer
– Join in on the conversation during the virtual seminar!
– Simply fill in this form, and we’ll send you the link to join our Zoom session on the night.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Please email us at if you have any questions.
